I love this book and all the other volumes. It has Great math word problems. I am so excited to have volumes 1, 2, and 3. I am excited because I homeschool my kids and this is a great reference tool to have at hand. It has addition and subtraction word problems. I love it! At the end it has the answers to the problems so for me I will be using it as a teachers guide.It would be good for just to have around for the kids to practice in a fun way too. make games out of the problems and make it fun! I truly appreciate this book! you!

I gave this book a 4 out of 5 stars because of an error in the answers and what may be considered a confusing question for a second grader. With a possibility of parents helping children with these problems, it really should be checked for accuracy and understanding before publication. It did not feel right giving it 5 stars with these issues. Otherwise, it looks to be good practice with word problems.

If you can remember in the second grade you kept on reading with bigger book with even bigger words which we’ve had to learn the meaning of. And just like our reading had gotten harder to do.
Mr. Stephen Hill in this book has taken 120 math problems, more complex than those we had in the first grade, where its readers are asked to first read the math, write down what they’ve read into numbers before doing the actual math. Readers also have to figure out whether out whether the bigger number problems involve doing addition or subtraction. The math problems here contain three digits instead of just two. In this book readers are also exposed to the place value of numbers.
Parents are encouraged to work with their children, and there’s a note to parents and teachers how to make the best use of this book.
For wanting to further educate its young readers in having to understand and translate written math problem into actual numbers and then do the math, I’ve given this book 5 STARS.

This is a wonderful option to help your young student work math problems at a second grade level and it has what you need to help.
The mathematical problems are more complex and the terms used at a Grade 2 reading level. Using charts and three digits numbers build on techniques learned in earlier chapters. Use words in the math problems to create spelling lists.
